Financial intermediaries like <a href=\"https:\/\/mercury.ch\/en\/industries\/banking\/\">banks<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/mercury.ch\/en\/industries\/insurance\/\">insurance companies<\/a> and<a href=\"https:\/\/mercury.ch\/en\/industries\/asset-management\/\"> asset managers<\/a> are most heavily affected by the current wave of new regulations. However, the increasing degree and complexity of regulation also have an impact on other industries such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/mercury.ch\/en\/industries\/commodity-trading\/\">commodities-<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/mercury.ch\/en\/industries\/real-estate\/\">real estate business.<\/a><\/p><p>While in the past, the Swiss regulatory regime used to be relatively liberal, there is a clear trend towards alignment with (new) international standards.
