Samuel Ryhner has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and has been a partner at Mercury Compliance AG since 2013. Before joining our law firm, he served as General Counsel for a globally active asset manager and previously worked at a Big Four accounting firm, advising and auditing domestic and international financial institutions. He began his legal career at a large commercial law firm in Zurich.

Samuel holds master’s degrees in Business Administration and Law from the University of St. Gallen (lic. iur. and lic. oec. HSG) and was admitted to the bar as an Attorney-at-Law in 2006. He is also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).

He predominantly advises financial institutions on regulatory matters and supports them in implementing complex compliance requirements. His practice also focuses on internal and external investigations, in particular related to corporate governance and compliance matters as well as white-collar crime. In addition, he has many years of experience serving on the boards of directors of companies in the financial sector.

Samuel is registered with the cantonal attorney’s register in Zurich and is admitted to practice before all Swiss courts.
